Located 2.5 KM SSE of the village of Romansleigh in North Devon, in a rural and moorland setting. The enclosure lies on the western side of a field which slopes gently from east to west. An area of trees lies 50-70 M between NE and SE giving a slight sheltering effect with winds in this quarter. A wooded valley lies to the west, with a low point of 185 M some 250 M to the NW, and 170 M some 300 M to the SSW. After dipping to 188 M on the south side of a field to the NW, the land then rises again to the north, reaching 207 M at 450 M to the NNE and 231 M some 875 M to the NNW. No sheltering effects as regards rainfall readings.
